Departing the plane was interesting. A young guy decided to search my bags. He must have thought I was cute and wanted to perve at me LOL. I wasn't scared when they were walkin me to the search area, coz I would demand Im innocent if they accuse me of stuff. Sure enough, soon I was cleared and on my way.
Then I saw mom waiting for me outside. It was nice. We dove to Duffys Forest, to pick up my Cookie. Wow he looked so small and fluffy! I thought he would jump all over me, but instead he lay on his back with his legs in the air XD What a cutie. He was such a good boy in the car too! He's behaving very well. He's not running around psycho, he's just sleeping and followingme around if I move off. What a miracle. Ok I put him in my lap now.

At home finally, my msn won't let me sign in. It said I have to upgrade to Windows Live Messenger WLM. Has msn become obsolete o.o That's insane!
I downloaded my 500 or so Japan trip photos. Mom had a quick look at them and was like "Gee that's beautiful!" to a lot of my temple photos. I should go edit them now, then upload them.
The best part of today was Tomo kun came on messenger to talk to me! For one whole hour. Aaw that's so nice of him. We talked a lot about my trip to Japan. I hope I can meet him sometime! I told him I wanna go to Japan with him too XD

]]>In the morning, everyone left before me. Two older ladies left at 5.30am! David and Stephen left at 8.30am. I saw them off. Pete left at about 10am. I saw him off too. Oh, one couple even left yesterday! I was hopeing my Japanese boys will walk past my room. Im right beside the door! I must have missed them, maybe when I was in Dave and Steve's shower. I hope they email me! I watched tv till checkout time (10am), then headed out. One more Intrepid couple was leaving at 11.30am but who cares about them XD
Today was a very hot day. Apparently 30 something degrees. So it was a killer! I went visiting the local temples and shrines around our Kyoto ryokan area. There was quite a few! My favourite ones were the big temples with the least amount of tourists. Im looking at my map. It says Yogenin Temple and Chishakuin Temple. I walked around for an hour or two.

Then I still had spare time to kill, so I went to the Kyoto National Museum. Yay it was free! It was only two floors and I saw statues, very ancient ceramics, old kimonos, the best was the gold leaf paintings. I saw some Kano gold art! Wow I use to study these in uni! So that was great. Oh there was calligraphy too. The souvenir shop was dissapointing! They didn't have postcards of my fav Kano paintings.
Just after noon, a minibus came to pick me up from my ryokan. Like the one in Sydney. I was kinda sleepin in there, so time went quick. At the airport, I figured out what to do pretty quick. Checkin was fast! Unlike Sydney. Then I went last chance souvenir shopping. I bought 3D postcards! How cool is that. I also boguht two expensive fans, coz I might regret not buying one later on. I went through customs and imigration quite early. Then I got to watch the un-loading and re-loading of our plane, from the waiting room. I took a lot of photos of the plane and when I just got on. I even for out-of-the-window photos.

Now it's 7pm and we just had lunch. They only had Japanese food left. Cold noodles and fish is not my idea of fun. But I just got handed some ice cream, so it's ok.Wooh turbulance. I wonder how come there is still people catering, it's pretty shaky now. I just felt a drop o.o This is a bad flight I think. At least I have a window seat ^_^ plus the two seats beside me are empty! The airlady just switched my movie back on. Im watching Opal Dreams, a real Aussie movie.
It's midnight, I'm on my plane to Sydney. I just got on. On the last plane, I watched 'Women of the Inner Palace' aka 'Oh Oku'. It's a Japanese movie set in ancient, traditional style, with shoguns and imperial girls. I enjoyed it a lot but I don't think I will watch it again, coz it's quite sad. The main actress was so refined and ideal, it is worth seeing her.
The wait at Singapore to transfer planes was quite long. 1 and a half hours, or was it two hours. I just spent my time dozeing off. I didn't actually fall asleep coz Im havin problems with my ears. Aaah Im going deaf. I blame it on the landing. The pressure was bad. Now I can hardly hear o.o

]]>This morning, we left our first Kyoto ryokan. Then we had a whole day to do as we like. I went with Dave and Steve. First to Kyoto Tower mall, then we decided to travel in to the big shopping district. We went around together first, then split up. Man, I spent all day there! It was a very hot day and it rained on and off. The main problem was my feet hurt >_< Anyway I did a lot of souvenir shopping. I bought two yukata and other memorabilias.
I saw a couple of hot guys! Now I always think of my 'Mens Egg' magazine, instead of hosts. The rockstar image, with a tan and blond hair is definetly in. No guys came to talk to me though T.T
One thing about shopping, after you buy something, the salesperson says a formal thankyou and bows! XD how cute! And in one convenience store I went into, ALL staff in there greet any incoming customers. It was so entertaining.
The most strangest thing about the Japanese is definetly their resiliance to the heat. I'm wearing a tiny top and shorts, basically beach wear. And they are wearing jeans and jackets! For real! Even the young girls are covered up. It's weird! I saw a wedding today and the men wore black suits! In this heat wave o.o The wedding was at the train station too! They must have met there.

In the evening, I caught the subway home. I was a total lostie & this school girl helped me find my way. She practiced her English from school on me XD She was so cute, whenever she said something she thought was wrong, she covered her mouth and stared at me. She asked for my email too and I gave it to her^^ Maybe she can teach me about KatTun.
That's another thing! I went lookin for KatTun stuff & hardly found anything! There is no special stores about celebrities. I was very tempted to go back to Tokyo, Harajuku today, but instead I decided to explore Kyoto since I'm already here.
In a magazine, I found that there are hosts here somewhere! God knows where though, Kyoto seems much more difficult to find my way around in, compared to Tokyo.
TV is boring tonight. There is no dramas. Well there is a dog training program. Oh guesse what I saw this morning on tv. Japanese Sesame Street! And Elmo spoke in Japanese! He still had the same voice and same laugh.
Im back! It's past midnight now! Wow tonight turned out not bad! I met some hot Japanese boys! Four of them! One was really hot! After I finished writting this entry, I went on the ryokan's internet. I wrote to mom, then four Japanese boys walked in the door! Thank God they said 'hello!' In English too! So I quickly grabbed them as they were going up to their room! "Do you speak English?" and they said "A little bit". I was like "Let's take a photo!" and they were like "yeah!!" They got the hotel staff to take photos for us XD There was 5 cameras to go through!! Then I was a smartie and asked for their emails "To send the photos" they happily wrote their names and emails down yay. I gave them mine too oforse. I can't wait to bombard them with pix of my trip in Japan! I showed them a photo of me in kimono and they were like "oohhhh very beautiful!" XD yay! Their names were Yuki, Yukiya, Ayumu and Jin. They went upstairs and I stayed on the net.

Not long after that, the Intrepid group arrived back from dinner. I told them about my little adventure. We stood around in the hallway, talking for a long time. Then my Japanese boys came down wearing yukatas! I asked them where they were going and they said 'baths'. YAY they were going to be naked together! I said "Can I come along and take photos? XD Peter san was so amused! I was only joking though.

After they were gone, we all went to chill in David and Stephen's room. Including Pete, Hiro and me. Aww it was out last night together. We were all drinking our Kirin drinks and watching tv, Formula 1, but mostly we were just talking. David bought a thick hentai manga. It was really graphic and funny. We were all so entertained by it! At midnight, we kinda said our goodbyes and went to bed.

Then we went to the Golden Pavilion 'Rokunoji Temple'. It was cool to see, but a bit overdone in my eyes. Finally we went to 'Ryoanji Temple'. It was kind of boring. There was a rock garden, but it was tiny. Plus there was moss, which looked pretty. But if u think about it,,,, its moss XD It was a very hot day today, but we got through it.

At 1pm or so, we all went our own way on 'free time'. The boys and I went searching for food. We ended up having pizza in a restoraunt. It was great! Then we looked at Kyoto Tower mall. It's quite small. But 'The Cube' was a good mall. Later we found others too. By the end of today, I bought stacks of pretty-boy magazines! Like *Potato * Wink Up *Cinema (it had Matsuda Shota in it). *Mens Egg *Neo Genesis (awesome jrock mag). They costed a lot! But its ok. We have only one more day to do souvenir shopping.
At 7.30pm, we all went to dinner ar an awesome restoraunt that reminded me of an underworld hangout XD The food was nice I bet, but I only had an ice cream. We just chilled there, it was fun. Peter san kept trying to photo the waitresses hahah! Afterwards we explored Kyoto station. You can climb to great heights there. But at 10pm we got kicked out coz it 'closed'. The boys and I sat around there till 11 anyway.

Finally I had a shower in their room, coz I dont have one! We watched some tv too. Now it's 1am and Im dead tired. Night.

In the morning, we left Hiroshima. Oh, first we went to the Peace Museum. There we heard the story of a real life atom bomb survivor. That was quite unique! It's hard to believe an atom bomb was dropped here only about 60 years ago. The youth here seem oblivious to it. And Hiroshima is so developed and very beautiful now. It all seems so surreal.

Afterwards, we caught the tram and shinkansen to Himeji. There we visited Himeji Castle. It's really famous and huge. But actually I was quite dissapointed. It's so totally empty inside. No nice gold paintings or anything. Everywhere you look, you can only see dark wood. No paper or tatami even. We climbed to the very top level.

Then we caught the Shinkansen to Kyoto, our final destination. The city seems to be very huge! Similar to Tokyo, except here we have to catch the subway to get around. We went into Kyoto middel section, to have dinner. Well, I went lookin at shops. I got a samurai souvenir yay. Afterwards we wento to Gion, to look for Geishas. It felt like we were playing 'Pokemon snap' haha. We spotted three or so geishas. I even got a photo of one. We all looked like paparazis.

Today we went to Miyajima Island. I loved it a lot! We got there by tram, then took a boat there. We saw the famous 'floating tori gate'. First from our boat and later from land. As soon as we got to the island, a raindeer appeared! Right in the ferry building! Actually the island was covered in deers! When we took the cable car/ ropeway up to the top of the mountain, then we saw monkeys too! Red faced wild ones. Very cute, but a bit scarier. The deers always come up to you, looking for papers to eat, but the monkeys aren't so friendly.

Miyajima was covered in souvenir shops! Tons and tons. I was out of money, so found an atm at the post office. But guesse what! It kept rejecting my pin number! Wtf o.o I was so dooomeeedd. While I was wondering what to do, by some miracle, my guide walked past. He advised me to go to Hiroshima to sort out the problem. So off I went back 'home' to Hiroshima *sigh*. Finally I found a bloody ATM beside the baseball stadium, and it took my pin number. Yay I had cash! I went back to the hotel, and by a great coincidence, our group was all arriving there at the time.
I decided to head back to Miyajima Island! "To see the sunset" *cough* souvenir shopping. See what I do for my friends. I want to buy them souvenirs. It was nice back on the island. There was no sunset, but thats ok. It was nice and warm there. I saw even more wild animals, like racoons! They were quite friendly.

The shops on the main little street are so unique! I have never seen anything like them in my life. They are completely unlocked, but 100% empty of people, even the light were off! So are they open or closed o.o Well the anwer is they are open. When you walk in, the lights come on and the store keeper creeps out from slumber out the back lol. I bought a lot of small cute things. David calls them 'tat'. It's British slang haha.
Finally at 8pm or so, I caught the boat and train back. Im so good with Japanese transport now =D Im not a lostie. No one was in the lobby upon arrival, so I emailed home, then decided to go explore the night life of Hiroshima on my own. I found a cute shop called Kiddy World or something, and bought a mogwai gremlin plushie toy. At 10pm everything shut. I still walked about lookin at the shops and people for a while. So much walking has really made me tired. It's now time to sleep yay. I hope I wake up in time tommorow. I need to pack, we are travelling again!

Afterwards we went to Okayama Korakuen Garden coz it's one of three very famous gardens in Japan. Some shogun 'lord' use to live there some hundreds of years ago. We got an English speaking guide, who made everything more interesting. I didn't think much of the garden though. It looked more like a golf course! It has too much open spaces. We didn't stay there long. We went back to our area of Hiroshima pretty soon.

At 6pm we went to a baseball game! Hiro, Peter, David, Stephen, Damien and I. Wow baseball was a lot different then I imagined!! It was more like a concert in a huge stadium, coz it was mostly young people. The fans were so active and into cheering. They had special chants and cheering dances choreographed! There was drums, trumpets, a conductor, flags, balloons, team shirts, and other memorabilia. It was totally different from American baseball. They didn't even have that baseball tune. I was so busy watching the audience that I didn't even pay attention to the game!

Peter-san was acting all loud and crazy, and it attracted the attention of some Japanese girls lol. We all made friends with the guy and girl sittin infront of us. For some unexplainable reason they loved us! Their names were Takashi and Shizuko. The girl especially loved me and totally wanted to be friends! How cute! And she's 32! o_o But looks 20 something. She insisted that we all go hang out sometime, so I said how about after the game. By the way, they can't speak English, so I had to use my minimal Japanese, plus Mr Translator Hiro.

After the game, Shizuko led me around holding hands! LOL That was so wrong, yet so fun! She led us all to her favourite restoraunt. Mind you, we walked about 10 minutes, holding hands! I wonder what passers by thought! The retoraunt was so damn cute. It was a tiny, traditional looking, dimly lit, trendy one. It was as hell expensive as it looked too. The food wasn't all that, but the company was good. Hiro and Stephen had to translate everything said. Peter and Shizuko were really into each other. Finally we left and split up at 11.30pm, then went back to the hotel.
I spent way over budget today! Bike hire was 1000Y, the garden plus transport was 1000Y, baseball game was 1500Y, dinner was 2000Y! Im guessing thats AU$70.

All of today (daytime) was spent travelling. We went on three trains and one tram. I was asleep a lot though. Japan is great coz u can sleep and no one will steal your luggage. Finally we arrived in Hiroshima. Upon arrival, it didn't look so exciting. But now we have many maps and it looks like a great place to explore. Our hotel is not impressive, I have even been given a Western style room with two beds! I intend to move out, and into the next vacant Japanese room, asap.
At 6pm or so we went to dinner. We had Okonomiyaki, a Japanese pizza type thing, made of salad and noodles. It was nice to try but it was expensive and I couldn't finish it all. Afterwards, Pete, Steve, David and I went exploring the nightlife of Hiroshima. We were totally blown away and amazed! It's like a mini Tokyo! Neon lights everywhere you look! And young people and tons of shops! We stayed till the shops closed, about 10pm. David said "We died in Takayama and now we're in heaven!"

Then we hung out by the river. It was nice and it was a warm night. Finally we bummed with our guide in the hotel lobby. Upon our request, he even took us sightseeing outside some love hotels! LOL The hotels didn't allow us in XD

]]>Later we headed out to the 'Hida Folk village'. It was all hundreds of years old Japanese country houses, and most were burned. I was bored out of my mind so I left. Alone, I went to see Takayama's many temples and shrines located up towards the bottom of the mountains. Oh first I checked my emails at the Info Centre and yay I had bday messages! Even from lovely Tomo kun. I wrote to mom and to Tomo.

It was rainy in the daytime, but I went for a couple of hours walk exploring Takayama's many temples and shrines anyway. It was awesome! I pretty much had them all to myself. I even heard a monk chanting in one! It was all an amazing, authentic Japanese experience. It was a great birthday, except I wish Tomo was by my side. Or Akanishi Jin XD I took tons of photos.

At 4pm, 'the cool group' met up and went sake sampling. Yay it was my first time tasting sake. Somehow it reminds me of champagne. It's quite nice. My fav drink is still the ume or whats-it-called. Then we looked at the souvenir shops in the 'old section'.
At 5.30pm we all met up at the ryokan and dressed in kimono (actually in yukata). Well it was ladies only. Mine was the best! It was white with blue and purple flower patterns, and a purple obi. A lady dressed me up in it, that felt weird but nice. We all had an awesome time and took countless photos! We went snap happy. I wore my kimono untill midnight, I loved it so much.

6.30pm was dinner time. The food wasn't my idea of fun, but I endured most of it. And Hiro bought me a bday cake! How nice is that! Everyone was happy about getting cake. We all chilled in the dinner hall until we got kicked out lol. Then upon my request, us in the 'cool group' went out for a walk.

Our group outing was perfect. I wore my kimono and indeed I did get good reactions. One person said 'it suits you' in Japanese. We took some pix at the Pachinko parlour with some anime people. Then we tried to find a cheap bar to drink at. Whilst hangin out in the 'number 1 street', beside my fav blue-lights tree, Pete wandered off to talk to the locals. Suddenly this girl comes running over to me, asking to take a photo! Then Pete rocks up and announces that he told her I'm a famous aussie actress! ROFL what a classic. So she's goin snap happy with her mobile and I took a photo with her too. Omg it was so fun!

All the bars and hangout spots were too expensive for us. One wanted a 2000yen ($20) cover charge just to get in! Must have been a hostess club. So we just bought some drinks at the 'Family Mart' and went back to hangout in our ryokan. It was fun there. We just drank and talked, then later watched Japanese tv. We stayed there (David and Steve's room) till midnight.
Here's a funny story. Yesterday at dinner, Pete lifted the entire miso soup by the lid (coz it tends to just stay on) When the serving lady saw this, she kinda jumped and guided it down LOL. Then today she served miso soup again, and Pete goes to her "Look, you ready?" and lifted the lid. But this time it came off in a sec! Pete's theory is that she pre-opened his as a preventative LOL He did show her a photo of the floating miso soup at least XD

]]>First we left the mountains by bus. Man we drove past some dangerous steep cliffs at unsafe speeds! The driver must think he is Initial D or something. Ofcorse Peter san made the trip funny as usual. Hasheshi-maaaaaaaaaaas. It means 'we are off'. And the driver actually said "the left is clear, the right is clear, the front is clear, ok we are off" LOL Then we went on the trains. Shinkansesns. Two of them! We went past tons of forests and mountains, plus rice field areas.
Finally we arrived at Takayama. Our ryokan is spectacular!! Whoa now this is my style of living!! It's traditional and luxurious. I'm gonna go photo crazy in here. My room is Sugoi, totally awesome. It's 100% traditional plus class. I got the paper walls, tatami mats, little table, sliding doors, futon and a tv XD. I'm impressed.

After arrival, we went out to explore Takayama. It has a symbol representing it: a sarubobo baby monkey. So cute. Even the town is amazing! It has many temples and shrines, souvenir shops every few meters! Even an "old Japan" section with all traditional wood and paper houses and shops! I really could live here. It's so cool! I even saw a man walking around clapping wooden sticks, like the ones we saw at the Roaring Dragon Temple. I saw a rikshaw too o.o And when I wanted to cross the road, two 'useless job' traffic cops stopped traffic for me!! Omg XD .I bought two traditional shoes, the geisha type geta, now I need a kimono.

At 6.30pm we had to return for dinner. It was getting dark by then and the shops were closing anyway. Whoa dinner was the best ever. It was 100% traditional, from the setting to the food. We were in a great tatami hall, with little tables and seats with no legs! I ate all the food presented and tasted flavours that I never knew existed. I even ate sashimi and weird things. Quite shamefully, all us tourists behaved so western, being loud and sitting unsightly lol.

It's midnight now. At about 9pm most of us headed out 'bar hopping'. We went to a traditional restoraunt that was totally empty & we just drank Japanese alcohols. I drank 'u' something plum wine. And we sat on tatami mats =p .Then it was just Hiro, David, Steve, Pete and me left, and we went searching for more bars. We found one with out own little room. It was really fun, coz Pete is so funny^^
Ok time to sleep.

]]>Today the whole group went off together. We started by going by bus, then skylift, to a mountain with steam err,, stinky smoke coming out of it o.o It wasn't very exciting. The place is famous for producing black eggs. Then we went on more skylifts yay. We went on a 'pirate ship' boat cruise, which was ok, except that boat cruises are too 'old people activity' for me XD At our destination, we all went our own way, for an hour or two. I found a very cute restoraunt, then looked at souvenir shops. The best find today were googley eyed chopsticks!

We took the boat back the way we came, then more skylifts, then took a steep-train that goes down the mountain. At the bottom was the 'Museum of Open Air Sculptures'. David, Steve, Pete and I decided it's too deadly boring to go in, so we went off exploring Hakone on our own. We took the bus back to our hotel area. Omg the bus driver was so funny! I wouldn't have noticed if it wasn't for Pete. The driver (and then Pete) kept saying 'hasshashimm-aaaaaaaaaaaaaa-su' at every stop XXDD Also funny, we saw a girl in a tshirt that said 'milk fed'! Oh, I saw lots of dogs today, including huge husky ones.

The most fun part of the day began, when we headed back to our ryokan area. We went to the Samurai Museum! Actually it's quite small but we had mad fun! The owner was quite excited about us being there, he kept talking to us in Japanese. We saw lots and lots of antique samurai armours and outfits. Most were a few hundred years old! Pete was being very entertaining for us, and used the dictionary to ask the owner if they were real or fake. We were trying so hard not to laugh. It really felt like Pete was harassing the owner, with funny questions. David and Steve were hideing whenever Pete yelled downstairs to the owner, who then bounced upstairs to speak more Japanese XD
I was laughing hard, when Pete snuck in photos of the armour. We are not allowed to photo them, so he pinned himself beside the window, directly under the security camera XD ROFL 'Well they won't know now, will they?'. I'll give u another example of Pete being entertaining unintentionaly. At the restoraunt yesterday, he goes "How do I say 'I want' in Japanese?" and we translated it as kudasai (please). So as soon as the restoraunt boy walked past, Pete goes "kudasai chopstick!" then continues on drinking. LOL how random! Kudasai chopstick !!
The fun only began when I decided to get dressed as a samurai. It cost 1000yen and the little old man dressed me. It was real stuff, he claimed, and damn heavy metals too! Wow what a unique experience. When will I ever get to be a samurai again? The boys couldn't stop laughing at me and we all went photo mad! We took tons and tons. I even had a sword and face mask. That mask is thanx to Pete harassing the owner too. LoL

The very best part about being a samurai was everyone's reactions on the street! They couldn't believe their eyes! One bus even went in the carpark across the road to turn around and get a better look! It was classic. OMG he full on swung his bus around LOL We stayed till closing time, around 5.30pm. It was the best fun of the trip.

In the evening, we all met up and went to dinner at a traditional Japanese restoraunt. Actually I had Japanese pizza XD We all sat on the floor. Some of the westerners weren't pleased, but I felt right at home. Back at the ryokan, some of the girls working there came and taught us origami. We made paper cranes, which I already knew how to make. Afterwards I talked with the girls for a bit. Part in Japanese and part in English. I should ask them if there is any cute boys around. But we talked about boring stuff, like me learning Japanese in high school.
Now it's 10.50pm. I just took a shower and tidied my room. It's late, I should sleep soon. I want to wake up early so I can go to the Little Prince museum, a few houses down.
11.15pm. I just checked on everyone downstairs. Omg it was so funny! We asked the girl downstairs why Dave's room is haunted!? She said it's not really a ghost. It's just that this area is very electrical for some reason, so the tvs go on and off o.o Wtf kind of excuse is that. Electrical areas. I signed their guestbook and wrote that it's haunted anyway XXDD

The trip to here took endless hours. We went on a local train, a Shinkansen, a local train again, then a very long bus trip into the mountains. I'm guessing it took 7 hours o_o Partly this is thanx to the typhoon. Actually the effects of the typhoon are not as bad as I thought here. But it did affect us, since the road to Hakone was closed! So we had to detour and we lost a lot of our day that way. Now we are sitting here in the evening, doing nothing *sigh* One strange thing we saw was at the train station. There was a sign saying 'Exit (for party)' lol! And we saw a guy on the street with 'perv' written on his shirt XD And I saw many dogs today. One owner even had 3.
10pm. We did nothing today except travel and go out for dinner. I didn't even take photos today. After dinner, everyone wanted to go to a karaoke bar. We had a look at one, but it was all empty! I came back to the ryokan and it's all quiet here. Like a ghost town. The others stayed at the empty karaoke. I could *learn origami *go in the onsen *watch japanese tv *go on the net *find everyone *sort my belongings. By the way, this ryokan is like a family home. So small and a mix of Western and Japanese. We don't have our own bathrooms T.T Oh well I'll survive.
11.30pm. Tonight turned out ok. In my time alone, I sorted my things, checked my email, and looked through the maps and tourist guides of Hakone. It's not very exciting here. I'll just follow the group tommorow. When the karaoke crowd arrived home, I chilled with David and Steve etc in the lounge. I read an origami book, it was so nice and impressive.

2.30pm. We went for a 3 hour walk to see Nikko's temple complex. My fav temple was the Roaring Dragon one. This monk or someone clapped some wood, and when you do it under the dragon's head, then it does a special echo. I took stacks of photos so far. I'm up to 180 or so now. I'm in my bed now, I feel tired. It's been raining all day and yes we went out in the rain. My poor slip-ons got ruined. I wonder if they will survive this trip. My umbrella won't. Oh yea, I saw a Lassie dog in the morning. The owner came out and I asked him what the dog's name was. He said 'Neo' but not Neo san. So I dont know.

After our long walk, we went to a Korean restoraunt o.o I had yakitori chicken through. I sat with the oldies and it was so boring! The food was nice and the owner was friendly (he even said Im kawaii). They had pix of all the foreign customers along the wall. On the way home, we stopped at two convenience stores side by side. I rumaged through the magazines and bought two as souvenirs. 'Jelly' and 'Junon' about boyz XD I can read them now, or should I go find the others in my group?
4.30pm. Half the group has wandered off to the onsen baths and the rest of us chilled in the lobby waiting for the rain to stop. Well, it didn't, so we just went out anyway. We followed a trail from our ryokan and it led to hundreds of little Buddha statues along the trail path, beside a cliff and river. Well they weren't quite little, they were waist height and all wore a red beanie and bib. So cute! My shoes are totally anhiliated by now. I wish I could find some geisha type shoes here but I doubt the shops sell any.
8pm. I took a nap, maybe an hour or two. It was so nice. Then I hung out with everyone in the lobby, reading my magz I bought. Dinner was ok. The food was ariight but expensive, and the place looked bad. The walls were covered in junk from around the world. Now the typhoon is approaching. We have to stay here T.T At least those two British boys are here. Without them I'd go insane. I want to go on the net, but the ryokan doesn't have any. Not even a tv in the lobby.
10.30pm. I'm having fun downstairs! And remind me to look up Banzai on the net when I get home. Yay I use to love that show! Pete was telling us about it, he is a really funny guy. One old couple brought their laptop along and we monitored the typhoon over Japan. It's gonna hit here the strongest from midnight to 3am o.o Apparently Tokyo is flooded! Tonight is turning out fun. The British boys looked through my magz and photos on my camera (of hosts etc). Plus the old man with the laptop has some hentai DVDs! LOL. Hopefully we will watch some now. Everyone found out I'm a bit of a perv too, coz I know a lot about hentai^^
10.50pm. I'm going to bed soon. The night was ok, just socializing and looking at magazines. The 'Jelly' one is my fav, there is so many awesome fashions in there! The Junon one has hot guys but they are too young for me (teens to 21)! I'm not scared of the typhoon. I'm more scared of a blackout or sleeping in.

11am. I'm in Shibuya ^_^ It's raining once again. In the morning, I spent one hour with the group. We went to the Imperial Palace in Tokyo. It's all locked up so it was boring as hell. It's ok though, I escaped. And I bought an umbrella. It's only 400 yen. How cheap is that! Less than a burger. Then I saw some for like $2 wtf o_o
I'm at Shibuya 109. This shopping complex is bloody amazing! There is nothing like it in Sydney. Sure it's a fashion mall, but the stores are all very open. Like a massive department store. Some shops only have two walls *faints*.
Ok the rain stopped. Im off to find Hachiko the dog statue and the love hotels.

I found the Tokyo Drift Intersection! Somehow it doesn't look as big as in the movie -_- I found a stone bunny, but no stone dog anywhere. I give up. Shibuya is not Aki friendly lol.

Ok I found the blasted dog XD He is said to have been loyaly waiting for his master at that spot until he died T.T Now I'm looking for Johnny's Entertainment and Akanishi Jin! I found a music school but even they don't know where JE is! I do know I'm on the right street though.
2pm. I'm in Ikebahura whatever its called. wow there is so many shops here! It's like Shinjuku hosts, but here it is shops and shops. I somehow found a bookstore and bought two books Ravient requested. I wonder how I can email her o.o I'll ask the tour guide tonight. Only two hours in Tokyo left. I want to find K-books and Animate, but I don't know how! Someone on Liver Journal said there is KenKen stuff there!
3.30pm When I finished in Ikebukuro, I went down to Harajuku again! Coz it's tha bomb! There (at McDonalds) I made friends with a Korean boy. He looked so young but he was old like me. He doesn't speal Japanese and doesn't speak English well either XD Him and I went walking around. The plan was to take photos, but then we noticed that a lot of the stores (the goth and punk ones especially) had 'no photo' signs! Wtf o.o It's ok though, I snuck some pix yesterday!
I found a cutey store selling dog clothes only YAY. So there is dogs in Tokyo. Then I went (and dragged the poor boy) to the idol stores, that had photos of jpop and jrockers. I bought an Akanishi Jin mousepad and badge. I'll put it on my bag later. Or on ME!
Now I'm on the train. It's so nice and cool here. I don't wanna leave.
6pm. I'm on the train again. We are headed to Nikko. Man my group moves fast! 5pm on the dot we were off! o.o There's a cute girl beside me. She's like so Harajuku style. And she's got like a mini computer for writting on. Maybe its a Nintendo thingo. I want one!
11.30pm. I'm in bed. Well, on a futon XD It's rainy outside, how relaxing. I have my own room again. Amazing. Looks like for the whole tour I will have my own! It's my first time in a traditional Japanese room, complete with tatami mats, rice paper windows, futon, yukata etc. Plus I have my own bathroom =p When I first walked in here, I got scared. I watched too many Grudge and Ring movies lol. And I'm on the top floor (3rd) kinda like an attick. So no one can hear me scream. Everyone's below me. Even in Kinuya (Uneo) I was on the top (7th floor). By the way, this ryokan is called 'Annex Turtle' LOL!

After we arrived in Nikko, we went to dinner at a local little place. The food took forever to prepare but it was nice. I had some cinemon toast with salad. Coz Im cheap lol. I sat with the two my-age British students, Steve and David. They will be my buddies for the trip. The oldies are very nice too, but one woman annoys me a lot.
After dinner, we invaded the 7-11 convi. Wtf is it doing out here in the country? And the guy had a SARS mask on LOL! Walking on the rainy streets of Nikko at night was surreal. It's llike being in another world. One that only exists in dreams. I think Dave's quote sums it up! "This is not real! This is a movie set. There is no one living inside these houses." He's right, there was no sign of life in the houses. Was everyone sleeping? o.o The streets are one-car breadth and the houses are so cute! Very Japanese looking. I could imagine Tomo and me here.
Now I don't know if I like the country-side or Tokyo city better. Ok time to sleep. Soon it will be midnight and we have a 7.30 am breakfast! I already washed my hair, yes again. Well today was very hot too. Especially lugging my luggage around was bad. The humidity is frizzing up my hair ><. I should have brought conditioner with me to Japan. I want to look nice for any boyz I see ^^

]]>Im in Japan! Landing was good. The whole second plane was good. I didn't feel scared and I felt like a pro coz I already did it all just hours ago XD The airport was simple, I found everything pretty soon. I caught the train to Tokyo. I had a reserved seat along with another n00bs entering Japan. The trip was one hour 'exactly', so I had a sleep. Then I wondered Tokyo Station like a lostie. But I found the train to Ueno by myself =p far out, it was hot in Tokyo! But the train was cool. Walking to the hotel was hot >_< Glad I packed summer clothes! The hotel lady took my luggage and I went wandering Ueno.

So I was sitting in the park, reading paperwork & a man walked past saying 'pleased to meet you'. ROFL! Then an old man came to talk to me. He didn't speak english but I said stuff like Australia jin desu XD. I have no idea if he was a pervy old man or if he was a friendly local. I brought out my map and escaped soon after lol. Now it's 12.20 and hotel checkin isn't til 1pm. Mate I need to shower before I head off to Harajuku.
2.30pm. Are you for real o.o Time flies! I went looking for Tokyo University coz it was on my map. But it must be farther than it looks coz I didn't find it. I was hot, so went to shower. Now Im clean and heading off to Harajuku!
I am in Harajuku ^_^ The first street I went on is the best ever! So way cool. I saw tons of jrock/ goth fashion stores and even lots of my Akanishi Jin! There is so much things to buy, I can't decide what to get! I saw one or two jrock guys but I froze and didn't ask to take photos. Strangely, I saw at least 5 black guys down there XD During my exploring, I wandered onto the more affluent side of Harajuku. It has tons of trees along the road & Armani and LV! At about 4pm, I decided it's time to eat, so went to Maccers lol. When I got out, guesse what! It was and still is raining! And it's still warm. There is tons of Japanese people with umbrellas around. Where did they pull them out from? =o Now Im on a corner hiding from the rain. I swear there is no street names here. I can see 'Royal Host' whatever that is lol. Let's go check it out! And Im going to head back to the uber cool side of Harajuku.
5pm, Im back. 'Royal Host' was only a restoraunt =/ The rain has stopped. I'm hopelessly lost and enjoying every minute of it! Woohoo! I'm wandering the tiny, ever cute backstreets, lookin at indy shops and people's houses. I just met a white guy but he is as lost as I am! LOL. Im an animal lover, so I'll tell u this: whilst in Ueno/ Harajuku, I have seen three cats and two little dogs. Yay. There was even a doggie clothes shop. And I saw two women in kimono today. Ok let's continue to explore the backstreets.
I'm on the train. 5.30pm wooh! I found my way back to Takeshita st by instinct XD The trains are so easy to catch! I just got on the first one (green line) and it seems to be taking me home XD We have a meeting at 6pm. I'm gonna ask my guide if I can explore Shinjuku tonight.
I'm at the meeting XD On my way here, I saw a police car racing like mad in Ueno Park, amongst the temples. And it was so noisy, it had loudspeakers lol.
Now Im walking on the Ueno shoping district streets. I went lookin for a place to exchange some Aussie money. I saw this hot host-looking guy workin in a shop, with his dad, and I asked him where the exchange place is. He was so cute and helpful! He didn't speak english though. At the end, it was his dad that shouted 'I love you' LOL. I went and exchanged my money, then I was gonna go back and ask for a photo. But when I went and said I found the place, they looked like losties. I think my dictionary is faulty -_- So I just said Daijobu, arigatou, and left them alone hehe. Damn dictionary ruined my groove!
Now Im off to look for a hairdrier, coz mine is too weak. And I want to look my best everyday hehe. I'm still walking on the street as I write this, what a dork.
LOL I just bumped into my hotel desk man! He was wandering the streets too! he actually took me to an electrical shop and to the hairdriers the hotel buys! I bought one for like $15 (1500) yen, amazingly cheap! I was by myself after that and spoke Japanese to all the staff! I just made it up lol. Credito Cardo daijobu desuka? ^^'
My tour group is at lunch now. I'm on my way to Shinjuku first. I'd rather wander alone, coz I wanna meet hosts! XD But later on they are coming to Kabukicho too! *Faints* I wonder if they know that it's a red light district. Most,, almost all of our group are oldies, damn it -_-
I just arrived at Shinjuku. It's hot here man! And a hot guy just checked me out! But he went down to the trains before my mind clicked.

9pm, Im back. Aaah time flies when you're haveing fun. This is so surreal! I'm like O_O WHOA at every second guy! Seriously, OMG good God in Heaven!! Talk about Host overload!! I'm in host heaven! Ffff! There is hosts on everystreet here in Kabukicho! And along with it, tons and tons of host clubs. And Im not even shy to stand there taking photos of their photos XD I'm waiting for the hosts to approach me before I ask them to take photos with me. But guesse what! None of the hosts approached me! o_o Only touristy guys -_- Ok let's keep trying! Take host pix till my camera dies lol.

9.30pm Yay one host approached me. More like he looked at me, so I approached him XD We took a photo. He was so small and new looking though lol. Now it's sprinkling rain again. Damn. I wanted to go sit with the Shinjuku station boys grr. Why God?! Bloody hell it's hot too. Oh yea, there is black guys on every street here. I wonder if they are pimps lol. I met one and took a photo too. I have to be back home by about 11pm. I still have one free hour. But Im stranded, and Im not even in Kabukicho with the hosts. I think there is a subway beside me but nah I'll wait. Oh! Every second person in Japan has a clear umbrella. LoL it's the cool thing to have, even for the guys. I'm off in search of one too.

11pm almost. I went home after that. On my way, I met an english speaking asian dude, who helped me navigate underground. The metro vs trains is confusing. Man Im so tired. I'm gonna organise my stuff and wake up at 8am. I still can't beliebe I have my own room. And the freedom I have is imense. I just wish we could spend more time in Tokyo. Well, I discovered a lot in one day! I am able to use the trains without feeling lost or out of place XD I discovered Ueno, Harajuku and Shinjuku ^_^

]]>Mon 3 Sept 07
Im in the airplane now. I will tell you about today.
I woke up bright and early, to take Cookie to his dogsitter in Kuringai Forest. I actually got there faster than I thought! A bit over an hour. Well I hope my doggie will be ok. Afterwards I had time to stop by Castle Towers and I bought a purple backpack for travelling. It's right here beside me XD At 11.30am my shuttle-bus arrived. Yay, express to the airport. I even drove past Rin's restoraunt and my work too!
This was my first time travelling. Wow it's quite simple! Find your checkin (that's about half an hour in line, and less if you check in online). Next you go in the 'departures' gate and customs xrays your bags. o_o someone's job is to look for weapons and bombs. Then you wait for your boarding call and get on.
After I checked in, Ravient and I met up! She's my Live Journal friend. I'm gonna buy her some books in Japan. We took some photos and ate. I had Oportos. then we walked about and talked about Kamakari Kenta. Amazing! KenKen has fans in Sydney AU! It's so cute that Ravient came to see me off ^_^ Oh and Minh phoned goodbye! Plus Tran, Bianca and Tina messaged bye. Plus family, who was quite mushy.

Walking onto the plane was surreal. It's so different than I thought. The plane is so small and it's purple and blue!! (Singapore Airlines). My chair is purple XD. The host and hostesses are so cute. Everything is madly squashy, more than on trains! We were like sardines in a can. But actually when I'm in my seat, I don't mind. We got our own tv! And I have my learn Japanese books, phrasebooks, dictionary, storybook, info printouts. Yea that's a lot of crap XD But I thought the plane will be boring!
Takeoff was scary when we started rolling. It was even scarier when our speed increased to like shinkansen speeds. Then we were up in the air! Aaah that's it! Our fate is in God's hands now. Im ok now though. It's a bit like a train... except you feel more weightless coz of going up and down! I dont know,,, is that turbulance? Going up and down.
I can see a little kid covered in stickers two seats up XD Oh, the airlady took the sticker boy sightseeing. Cute! The catering here is fantastic. We got drinks as soon as we hit the air & dinner not long after. Green thai chicken! Then ice cream! Man I'm stuffed. They handed us hot towels too o.o Wtf that's just bizzare. Anyway, my seat is near the window. There is a young girl between the window and I, and she hasn't made any effort to socialise. There is an Indian man on my other side. He set up my headphones for me and is now watching Bollywood movies XD
Im watching 'Surfs Up'. Oh crap, turbulance. Woooh we are shaky yo! Im not scared though. I'm enjoying my time in the plane watching movies. 'Surf's Up' is so funny^^ It's an awesome animated film, about surfing penguins. It's made sort of documentary style, which is unique. I should have a nap. Nah, I'd rather see more movies. But wouldn't that mean I'll be tired in Japan? Does this airline actually set a bedtime and lights out? o.o
Now I'm watching 'Pirates of the Carribean 3rd' o_o Another ocean movie! And all this time I thought we were flying above the ocean, but nop! Over Australia! Hay, one of the pirates just said something about Singapore. LoL that's where we are headed. Wow the cast is quite hot! Kiera Knightly is so pretty! Now my tv is hurting my eyes. It's got too many black dots!
10.30pm. I finsihed watching Pirates 3. I don't effin get it o_o It doesn't make sense! We just got fed again. I had some hokkien noodles 'seafood noodles'. I never ate so much as on this airline. Now Im watching some Singapore promo tourist channel. Man these promo ads are annoying -_- They're aimed at rich people. I'd rather go to Cambodia than high class shopping in Singapore. We have just hit some turbulance again. We have to put our seatbelts on. Woohoo we're in for a ride.
Im exploring the 100 channels we have XD. there is defiently some weird stuff here rofl. I found a chinese game show, a French channel, a tutorial on uploading videos from your camera, many Indian channels, YaY here we go: Korean movies. Channel 71, isn't this 'He was Kool'? Ch 70 Korean again, no idea what movie. 69 Korean. 68 Japanese. 67 Japanese black and white film. 66 a Geisha film! I'm returning here after I finish exploring. 65 Japanese and there is anime looking actors. A little kid just asked his sis 'What about him? You're looking for a bf!' >_< Fark we got told to switch off the electronic devices. Wooh the pressure is changing. Are we landing? Already? o_o It's 11pm Sydney time. I think that's 9pm Singapore time.
Landing took a long time! Like 20 minutes, damn. And my ear hurt! They turned the lights off and I dozed off XD I wokd up to the shake of touchdown. Yay I made it to Japan alive! So Im in Singapore now. It's so empty here in departures. (I have another plane to catch). I think we have two hours wandering time. But I don't even have Singapore money, so I can't buy postcards even. Man there is so many model looking air hostesses walking by. I could go on the internet but nah. I should use the time to learn Japanese. Ok let's plan. Two hours of learning, then on the plane sleeping, then exploring Japan! By the way, there is a flower garden with a money pond and crap fish, smack bang in the middle of the building here lol.
